CAR RENTAL WITHOUT CHAUFFEUR

Renting a car for a day, for a week or for the length of your stay may be a good option to enjoy the area and go in some places where public transportation cannot take you easily: for instance, going to St Tropez (Nikki Beach) is not easy by public transportation or very expensive by taxi. So, renting an automatic car with GPS and air conditioning would cost you around 150€ for a da and take you there easily.

WALKING

It is very easy and convenient to walk around in Cannes. It takes about 30 minutes by walking distance to go across the center of Cannes.

You can enjoy walking on the famous Croisette.  From Le Palais des Festivals to the Palm Beach you will enjoy the sea, beaches, luxury boutiques and hotels. If you like shopping, make sure you go to Rue d’Antibes, Rue des Etats Unis, Rue du Commandant André and of course La Croisette.

There are the main shopping areas in Cannes. You can also walk in the old town of Suquet and discover narrow streets, gourmet shops, charming restaurants, and take a look at an unbelievable sea view.

Finally if you just want to walk along the sea, you have kilometers of beaches and ports whether you go toward the east or west.

THE LITTLE TRAIN

There is another way to visit Cannes, rather than walking, hop into a train that will not only show you around, but will tell you more about Cannes and its history. You can go for the Croisette Tour, the History Tour, or the Big Tour (both).

The Croisette Tour will show you the beach, Palais, luxury hotels & boutiques, boats and rue d’Antibes (famous shopping street).

The History Tour will take you to Marché Forville, the Suquet, la Castre, the beaches and the port.

To make sure everyone can enjoy learning about Cannes, all visits are translated in French, English, Italian, German, Spanish, Japonese, Russian and Arabic.

Prices for Croisette or History Tour (35min): 7€/adult 3€/child (3-10 year old) free up to 3 year old.
Prices for the Big Tour (1 hour): 10€/adult 5€/child (3-10 year old) free up to 3 year old.
The train runs during the summer, every day and every hour, from 9am to 11pm. It starts from the Palais by the beach side.
